The 22nd Orchid Walk in Lefke to Be Held on April 6
The 22nd annual Orchid Walk in Lefke, organized by the Cancer Research Foundation (KAV) in collaboration with the CENGO-V Foundation, will take place on Sunday, April 6. This year’s event will focus on raising awareness about neuroblastoma.
During a press conference held to announce the event, the organizers—who run the largest annual charity event in Cyprus—shared details about the upcoming walk. Mustafa Kamgöz, President of the Cancer Research Foundation, joined the conference online from London.
In his remarks, Professor Kamgöz highlighted that KAV is the only foundation in the country conducting both national and international cancer research. He also stressed the foundation's commitment to transparency, noting that they share their findings and updates with the public through reports published and distributed during the Orchid Walk.
This year, the foundation has focused its research on neuroblastoma, a malignant tumor affecting the sympathetic nervous system. This rare but significant type of cancer is also present in Cyprus. Information about the progress of this research will be included in the report shared on the day of the event.
Tickets for the 22nd Orchid Walk, which will kick off at 9:30 a.m. from Atatürk Park in Lefke, can be purchased for a donation of 250 TL. Tickets are available at Deniz Plaza stores, Telsim Ortaköy, and the Lefke Municipality Office.
