Angiography to Start Soon at Famagusta Hospital
North Cyprus Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek visited the Famagusta State Hospital to inspect the progress of the work on establishing an angiography center.
According to him, renovation work and room preparation for equipment installation are ongoing in the surgical block. Medical equipment for angiography, colonoscopy, and heart surgery was donated by Turkey.
The Minister noted that once the renovations and equipment installation are complete, angiographic procedures will be performed directly at the Famagusta Hospital.
Development of cardiac surgery is also planned. A tender is underway for the creation of a cardiovascular surgery operating room, which will allow bypass surgeries and other heart procedures to be performed at the hospital in the coming months.
According to Dinçyürek, the ministry's goal is to transform Famagusta Hospital into a tertiary medical center capable of providing a wider range of specialized care to the region's residents.
