Pegasus Airlines resumes direct flights to Hatay
Pegasus Airlines announced the resumption of direct flights to Hatay starting September 1, 2025. This decision followed the reopening of the airport, which had been closed due to the aftermath of the devastating earthquakes on February 6, 2023.
Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that the first phase of airport restoration has been completed: in September, a supplementary runway 2,720 meters long and an apron capable of handling up to 10 aircraft simultaneously are planned to be put into operation.
Pegasus specified that from September 1, regular flights will be operated:
- 7 weekly flights from Istanbul (Sabiha Gökçen Airport);
- from September 2 – 4 weekly flights from Northern Cyprus (Ercan Airport).
Thus, residents and visitors of Turkey will have convenient access to Hatay both from Istanbul’s largest airport and from Northern Cyprus.
