Two Drunk Drivers Cause Accidents in Haspolat and Lapta

Two separate road traffic accidents involving drivers under the influence of alcohol occurred in Haspolat and Lapta. Fortunately, there were no injuries in either case, but criminal proceedings have been initiated against the drivers.

The first accident happened around 22:00 on Belediye Evleri 2 Street in Haspolat. According to the police, the driver, who was operating the vehicle while intoxicated with an alcohol level of 144 milligrams, swerved sharply to avoid a dog that had run onto the road.

As a result of the maneuver, the vehicle crashed into a parked car, which then collided into two other adjacent parked vehicles by force of inertia. Four vehicles were damaged simultaneously.

Despite the serious nature of the accident, no one was injured. The driver was detained for driving under the influence and causing an accident.

The second incident occurred around 04:30 in the morning in Lapta on Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak Street. According to police reports, a driver with a blood alcohol level of 148 milligrams collided with another car while turning into a parking lot near the coastal pedestrian area.

No one was injured in this accident either. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The police are continuing their investigation into both incidents and once again remind drivers of the dangers of driving after consuming alcohol.
