Iskele congratulated elderly Boğaziçi residents on birthdays as part of 'home healthcare' service
Iskele Municipality, through its Health Department, continues to provide free home healthcare services for residents aged 65 and older receiving social assistance, as well as for people with special needs. On April 8, 2026, municipal teams visited elderly residents of the village of Boğaziçi and congratulated them on their birthdays.
The municipal teams follow the Health Department's registration and are not limited to medical examinations only: during recent visits, residents received congratulations and small gifts, while the staff personally interacted with the birthday people. According to the municipality, the program covers the town of Iskele itself and 21 surrounding villages, where regular visits by mobile teams continue.
Mayor Hasan Sadıkoğlu emphasized the importance of the municipality's social orientation: in his words, the elderly are "our most precious values," and the municipality intends to continue visiting them on holidays and in daily life to support them and bring joy. For residents in Northern Cyprus, this means that individuals 65+ registered with the Health Department can count not only on home medical care but also on attention from municipal services on special days.
