KIB-TEK to Cut Power for Debtors on Monday
The Cyprus-Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has issued a warning to debtors about an upcoming power cut. According to the provider, electricity will be disconnected for chronic non-payers on Monday, April 7.
In its announcement, KIB-TEK explained that as part of its debt recovery process, power will be cut to all individuals and businesses whose bills were due by March 2025 or earlier, and whose outstanding balance exceeds 675 TL.
Furthermore, electricity will be disconnected for both private and business customers who have unpaid debts related to installment agreements under legal contracts with the utility.
To avoid any interruption in power supply, subscribers are advised to pay off their outstanding bills as soon as possible.
