Short showers are expected in Northern Cyprus on August 23
According to the TRNC Meteorological Department, low pressure and cool, moist air in the upper layers of the atmosphere will begin to affect the region on Friday, August 23. The forecast predicts partly cloudy skies with occasional short showers.
Air temperatures will remain within the normal range for this time of year. In most areas, temperatures are expected to range between 32-36°C. The climate map indicates that the highest amount of rainfall today will occur in the central part of the country and the Karpas Peninsula.
Winds will be strong and from the southwest, but no storms are expected.
Two weather warnings are still in effect for Northern Cyprus. The risk of wildfires has been downgraded to high. However, the level of ultraviolet radiation remains very high.
It's advised not to stay in the sun for more than 10 minutes, especially between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., without taking necessary precautions.
