North Cyprus to Celebrate Maritime and Cabotage Day
The TRNC is preparing to celebrate the 98th anniversary of Maritime and Cabotage Day. Ceremonial events will take place on Monday, July 1, in Famagusta and Kyrenia.
According to the protocol, the ceremony in Famagusta will begin at 9:00 AM with a wreath-laying at the Victory Monument. After the flag-raising, there will be a moment of silence, followed by the national anthem.
The ceremony will conclude with a speech by Lieutenant Yiğit Delişa from the Famagusta Naval Command.
The ceremony in front of the Atatürk Monument in Kyrenia will also start at 9:00 AM.
After the wreath-laying at the monument, there will be a moment of silence, and flags will be raised to the national anthem.
Following a speech on the significance and importance of the day, a poem will be recited.
