It will get colder by 4 degrees in Northern Cyprus; on Friday — rain and strong wind.
On 1 December, the TRNC Meteorological Department reported that during the second half of the week, temperatures in Northern Cyprus are expected to drop by approximately 4 degrees. Rainfall and strengthening winds are forecast for Friday.
According to the forecast for the period from 2 to 8 December, the region will initially be under the influence of a high-pressure system, with cool and humid weather. In the following days, a low-pressure system and cold, moist air in the upper layers of the atmosphere are expected to affect the region.
Maximum temperatures in the first half of the period will range between 21–24°C both inland and along the coast. In the second half, they will drop to 17–20°C in the same areas.
On Friday, light rain is possible during the day, followed by showers or thunderstorms in the evening hours. Until early next week, the weather is expected to be mostly partly cloudy, at times significantly cloudy.
Winds will mainly blow from northern and eastern directions, moderate to occasionally strong. On Friday, winds will shift to southern and eastern directions, strong and in some places nearly stormy.
Residents are advised to consider the possible rainfall and strong winds when planning travel and outdoor activities, especially on Friday.
