Training Program for Former Inmates to Be Held in Northern Cyprus
A special training program focused on communication and professional development for former inmates is set to take place in Northern Cyprus. The initiative, “Life After Prison: A New Approach to Employment,” is funded by the European Union and organized in partnership with the Cyprus Turkish Bar Association and the Human Resources Management Association.
The first session was held on October 22–23, 2024, and the second session, covering the same topics, is scheduled for April 9, from 09:00 to 16:30, at the Cyprus Turkish Bar Association.
The training is designed specifically for former inmates, individuals on probation, or those released on parole. Its goal is to equip participants with essential skills to help them reintegrate into society and find stable employment.
The program includes:
CV writing techniques
Effective job search strategies
Communication and interpersonal skills
Interview preparation and confidence-building
Participation is free, but spaces are limited. Interested individuals can register by calling +90 533 848 74 84. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate.
This initiative aims to support social reintegration and reduce recidivism among former inmates in Northern Cyprus.
