A documentary will be filmed in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) showcasing the success of national athlete Buse Savaşkan, who secured 10th place in the women’s high jump final at the Paris Olympic Games.
Filming for the documentary began yesterday. Alongside Buse Savaşkan, her coach Gennady Zuev also gave an interview to the production team. The Ukrainian coach flew to the island specifically to take part in the filming and discuss Buse Savaşkan’s upcoming training camps with the TRNC Athletics Federation.
“I’m really looking forward to watching my documentary. My Olympic journey was an adventure, and I’m excited to share this experience with young athletes,” Buse Savaşkan said.
Her coach, Gennady Zuev, expressed his delight that the documentary will allow Buse to “show young people an example of success, determination, strong character, and someone who never gives up.” Following her impressive Olympic performance, Zuev had described his athlete as “a true warrior.”
The documentary, which will chronicle the Olympic journey of Buse Savaşkan, who participated in the Games for the first time, is directed by Ali Atamer.
