The victim of the fatal accident in Kyrenia has died in the hospital
The number of victims of the fatal accident that occurred on March 23 in Kyrenia, Northern Cyprus, has increased. The injured pedestrian girl passed away this morning in the hospital.
Doctors fought for the life of 21-year-old Busra Yavuz for 8 days. Despite all the efforts of the medical staff, the girl passed away.
Recall that the accident in question occurred on March 23 on Bedrettin Demirel Street in Kyrenia.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing the car to veer off the road onto the sidewalk, literally hitting three pedestrians.
One of the injured died at the scene of the incident. Two more young people were initially taken to the Akcicek Hospital in Kyrenia and then transferred to the State Hospital in Nicosia. One of the victims did not survive in the end. She lay in a coma for several days.
Another injured person, a passenger in the car, was being treated for a fractured ankle and has already been discharged from the hospital.
Based on surveillance camera footage capturing the moment of the accident, the driver was significantly speeding and “cut off” the cars ahead of him.
