President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, has expressed his gratitude to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his strong support of Northern Cyprus during a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
"I extend my deepest gratitude to the friendly and brotherly Prime Minister of Pakistan for his unwavering support of our just cause, which he has once again reaffirmed with determination," Tatar stated.
His remarks follow Shehbaz Sharif’s declaration during a joint press conference in Islamabad alongside President Erdoğan, where he said: "Pakistan fully supports the cause of Northern Cyprus and stands firmly with Turkey on this matter."
According to Tatar, this statement further strengthens the "just cause of the Turkish Cypriot people."
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has always stood by the Turkish Cypriot people and consistently voiced his support for the TRNC. I also extend my appreciation to the government and people of Pakistan, represented by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who once again honored us with his statement today," he emphasized.
