The event took place with the participation of the EcoEurasia Foundation, the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, and the TÜRKSİT Association in the OSTİM industrial zone. Participants discussed prospects for expanding trade, tourism, and industrial cooperation.

TRNC Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu stated that despite international isolation and embargoes, Northern Cyprus's economy continues to develop. According to him, the authorities intend to increase the hotel capacity from the current 32,000 beds to 50,000 by 2030. A goal has also been set to bring the annual tourist flow to 4 million people and increase exports from the current 160 million dollars to 1 billion dollars.

Representative of the Ministry of Trade of Turkey Hüsnü Dilemre noted that Ankara continues to take steps to overcome the economic isolation of the TRNC. According to him, Turkey's priority remains the integration of Northern Cyprus into the global economy. He emphasized that the TRNC possesses significant investment potential in the fields of tourism, education, agriculture, construction materials, and high-tech manufacturing.

Head of the inter-parliamentary friendship group between Turkey and Northern Cyprus Orhan Erdem stated that the region's stability and security make the TRNC an attractive platform for investors. Meeting participants expressed confidence that new joint projects would help strengthen Northern Cyprus's economy and expand business ties with Turkey.
