KTTB Calls for Immediate End to War Between Iran, USA, and Israel
In Northern Cyprus, the Cyprus Turkish Medical Association (Kıbrıs Türk Tabipleri Birliği — KTTB) issued a call on March 1, 2026, for a swift and peaceful conclusion to the war between Iran, the United States, and Israel.
In a written statement, the organization emphasized that wars leave behind death, pain, forced displacement, poverty, long-term psychological trauma, and hostility.
"Even when the sound of bombs subsides, the fire in mothers' hearts does not go out," the statement said.
Doctors noted that their professional and ethical duty is to protect human life and health; therefore, they are obliged to speak out against war, violence, and enmity, and to support peace and coexistence.
KTTB stressed that children, women, and the most vulnerable populations are primarily the victims of armed conflicts. The statement calls for an end to hostilities to prevent further casualties and destruction.
