The TRNC Presidential Symphony Orchestra will mark its 10th anniversary with free concerts
The TRNC Presidential Symphony Orchestra will hold two free anniversary concerts in Northern Cyprus on November 27 and 28: in Famagusta and Lefkoşa. The ensemble will perform under the baton of Rengim Gökmen; the soloist is violinist Kristine Balanas.
The concerts are dedicated to the orchestra’s 10th anniversary. On November 27 at 20:00 — Rauf Raif Denktaş Cultural and Congress Palace in Famagusta; on November 28 at 20:00 — the Presidential “Blue Hall” in Lefkoşa. Admission is free and the events are open to everyone.
The program includes Ali Hoca’s “Little Cypriot Suite, Op. 25,” Johannes Brahms’ Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major “Eroica,” Op. 55.
The organizers reported that the main sponsor is Türkiye İş Bankası, the communication partner is Turkcell Northern Cyprus, with the support of the Famagusta Municipality and Eastern Mediterranean University.
