Speaker of Parliament Claims Two Countries Will Soon Recognize the TRNC
Zorlu Töre, President of the Assembly of the Republic, has stated that at least two countries are expected to recognize the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in the near future.
Töre made this statement while discussing the Turkish military's recent landing and demonstration during the ceremonies commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation.
He stressed that the Turkic world "must urgently establish a joint military pact, following the example of Gaza."
"We need to initiate this project without delay. If we unite, no one will be able to stand in our way," Töre asserted.
The Assembly leader also highlighted that "just as Turkey and Greece, Azerbaijan and Armenia, and Ukraine and Russia cannot form federations, Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots cannot be unified under a federation."
"We must build our future as two separate societies and states," Töre said. He also noted that, according to his information, "at least two countries will recognize the TRNC soon."
"We have secured the right to representation within the Organization of Turkish States. We anticipate that this will lead to recognition from brotherly countries like Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan," Töre added.
