35-Year-Old Motorcycle Passenger Killed in Northern Cyprus Traffic Accident
A tragic traffic accident in Northern Cyprus has claimed the life of a 35-year-old motorcycle passenger in the village of Minareliköy.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. on Mehmet Emin Street. The 37-year-old driver was heading north when he lost control of the motorcycle while turning left. The vehicle veered off to the right shoulder of the road and crashed into the garden wall of a nearby house.
The passenger, identified as 35-year-old Ali Minnos, died at the scene due to his injuries. The driver was taken to Nicosia State Hospital for treatment.
Ali Minnos worked at the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital. Following the accident, Minister of Health Dr. Hakan Dinçyürek expressed his condolences to Minnos’ family and friends.
So far this year, 20 people have died in road accidents across the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Last year, 50 lives were lost on the roads.
