General hygiene training held for restaurant kitchen workers in Kyrenia
On April 14, 2026, in Kyrenia, the Health Department of the Kyrenia Municipality held a training session on "General Hygiene" for local restaurant kitchen staff.
The session took place in the commission conference hall of the new municipality service building; representatives from food businesses participated. The training covered rules for safe food preparation, personal and industrial hygiene requirements, and measures for creating a healthy work environment. According to the organizers, such events contribute to increasing food safety and protecting consumer health.
Participants included: Acıktım Cafe, Afiyetler Restaurant, Ala Meyhane, Avanti Patisserie, Antakya Döner, Alim Restaurant, Bandır Çorba Restaurant, Best Butcher Restaurant, Bedi Usta, Bella Moon, and Beyaz Restaurant. The municipality announced that a similar "General Hygiene" training is planned to be held again next month.
In Northern Cyprus, residents and guests can look forward to improved service standards: regular training reduces the risk of infections and food poisoning.
