18-Year-Old Girl Nearly Drowns in Famagusta
An 18-year-old girl narrowly escaped drowning in Famagusta and is currently in intensive care.
According to the police press office, the incident occurred late the night before, around 11:00 PM. The 18-year-old, Alice Abbas, was on a tourist boat when she jumped into the water for a swim. She began to struggle and started to drown.
Rescuers brought her back to shore, and she was transported by ambulance to the Famagusta State Hospital.
Due to the severity of her condition, doctors decided to transfer her to the Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia. She is now being closely monitored in the intensive care unit.
