"Voice for Justice" Event to Be Held in Famagusta
The association "Champions Angels, Supporting Life" is organizing the “Voice for Justice” event today at 6:30 PM in Namik Kemal Square, Famagusta.

The event is aimed at “supporting the fight for justice and the fulfillment of promises” in the case of the collapse of the Isias Hotel, which tragically resulted in the deaths of a children's volleyball team from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus during the February 6, 2023 earthquake in Turkey.
“We want justice for our children. We have not forgotten the Champions Angels, the children of the Turkish Cypriot community. As humanity, it is our duty to remember them and support the fight for justice. Let us stand united for them, as one heart and one voice,” said the association in its message.
The event is open to all who wish to participate.
The “Champions Angels” refers to the members of the adolescent volleyball team from Famagusta who lost their lives in the February 6 earthquake in Turkey. The bodies of 35 people were recovered from the wreckage.
It should be noted that the first hearing in the Grand Isias Hotel case took place in the High Criminal Court of Adıyaman in January. After several days of hearings, the court issued several temporary rulings.
The lawyers representing the families of the Champions Angels objected to these decisions. The second hearing took place on Friday, April 26, with around 100 Turkish Cypriots in attendance. The third hearing was held on June 12, the fourth on October 21, and the fifth on December 3.
The next hearing for the Isias Hotel case in Adıyaman is scheduled for Tuesday, December 24.
