The Municipality of Famagusta is organizing a theater festival to commemorate World Theatre Day, which is observed on March 27. The festival program includes performances staged by theatrical groups from Northern Cyprus.

As part of the festival program, from March 26 to 29, four productions will be presented to the audience. On March 26 at 20:00, the Open Theater of Cyprus will present the comedy play “Cümbüş Var” at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Cultural and Congress Center.

On March 27, the Famagusta Theater will stage the play “Anatomy of a Breakup”. The play tells the story of a divorced couple who, after some time apart, meet and reflect on their relationship experience in a humorous way, from the perspectives of both the man and the woman.

On March 28, audiences will see the production “Dangerous Obsession” by the Municipality Theater of Iskele.

The festival will conclude on March 29 with a performance by the creative collective “Kıssa”. The production consists of 4 short plays written by four new authors and directed by four different directors. This performance is restricted to audiences aged 18 and above.

All four plays can be watched for free, but to reserve tickets, it is necessary to make a booking by calling the municipality's public relations department at 0392 630 0 500.

All performances, which will be staged at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Cultural and Congress Center, will start at 20:00.
