Pedestrian and road safety works continue in Gönyeli-Alayköy, Northern Cyprus
The Mayor of Gönyeli-Alayköy Municipality, Hüseyin Amcaoğlu, announced on the morning of October 22, 2025, that ongoing works in the city aim to improve pedestrian and traffic safety.
In a social media post, Amcaoğlu stated that municipal teams regularly renew pedestrian crossings and make road markings more visible. The work is being carried out throughout the municipality and continues year-round.
According to the mayor, the goal is to enhance safety for pedestrians and drivers and to create a more organized urban environment. He emphasized the municipality’s commitment to improving the visibility of crossings and road lines.
For residents, this means gradual improvement in the visibility of markings and pedestrian crossings on the streets of Gönyeli-Alayköy. Temporary traffic changes may occur during the works; no major restrictions were reported.
