Salaries Paid to 277 Employees in Northern Cyprus Cooperatives, Pensioners Receive Half of June Payment
Subsidiaries of Cyprus Turkish Cooperative Central Bank Ltd. — Koop-Süt, Zirai Levazım Cooperative and Binboğa Feed Cooperative — paid salaries on September 10 to 277 employees who are not pensioners, while pensioners received only half of their June payment. According to Kıbrıs Postası, the problem of delayed payments persists.
The outlet notes that last month workers already received their salaries with a delay of about 19 days. Until a collective labor agreement is signed with the union, pensioners will be paid only 50% of the June pension. For other employees, partial or delayed payments have been settled, with 277 people receiving their money.
Practical significance for residents: pensioners and households dependent on these payments should take into account a possible income shortfall and, if necessary, seek information from the cooperative’s accounting department or union representatives. Kıbrıs Postası promises to report further changes in the payment schedule as official statements become available.
