In Northern Cyprus, a driver who committed dangerous driving in Gemikonagi was fined and had penalty points imposed, according to the police.
The incident occurred on October 14, 2025, on Şehit Salahi Mehmet Sokak. After a video of the dangerous maneuver appeared on social media, officers from the Lefke police station, under the Güzelyurt Police Department, responded urgently.
According to the police press office, the driver was issued a fine of 10,240.40 Turkish lira and 25 penalty points were assigned.
The police launched an investigation following the online circulation of the video and took administrative measures against the driver. The statement emphasizes that the measures were taken due to the threat to road safety.
