Water supply disruptions expected in the TRNC until the end of January
The Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the TRNC has announced a temporary suspension of water supply from the Kemürcü, Pınarbaşı, and Alemdağ reservoirs from January 16 to January 30.
The shutdown is related to the planned replacement of pumping equipment at the Beşparmak station as part of the water supply project from Turkey. The works are being carried out under the supervision of the Turkish project administration and the contractor company MİTAŞ.
During the same period, specialists will also perform additional technical works: replacing a faulty flow meter, a float valve, and connecting the main pipelines of the second phase of the drinking water supply project.
During the repair period, water will be supplied from local sources. Authorities urge residents of the affected areas to use water sparingly.
