“Brotherhood Iftar” Held in Nicosia with Participation of Politicians and Public Figures
A special evening iftar titled “Kardeşlik İftarı” (Brotherhood Iftar), organized by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), was held in Nicosia.
The event took place in the reception hall of the Presidential Complex. It was attended by TRNC President Tufan Erhürman, Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia Ali Murat Başçeri, and YTB President Abdulhadi Turus.
In addition, representatives of political parties, public organizations, university rectors, and other invited guests were present at the event.
The program began with a short film prepared for the month of Ramadan, followed by speeches from officials. The participants then proceeded to the joint iftar dinner.
Following the dinner, a concert titled “Kıbrıs’ın Gönül Dili Kıbrıs İlahileri” was held, where Turkish state artist Ahmet Özhan and his team performed religious hymns dedicated to Cyprus.
At the end of the event, participants were presented with commemorative gifts and a group photo was taken.
