An 18-year-old student found dead in Lefkoşa; police are investigating the circumstances

In the Ortaköy area of Lefkoşa, an 18-year-old student of the Faculty of Dentistry — Iranian citizen Rim Mohamedalamin Ahmed Ali — was found dead in the morning. The young woman was discovered in the parking area of the residential building where she lived. Residents noticed her body and immediately informed the police.
Police officers and medical personnel arrived at the scene. According to police data, the duty doctor did not find signs of violence on the body during the initial examination — no traces of beating or other obvious injuries. The exact cause of death will be determined after a forensic medical examination.
Police have launched an investigation: officers examined the scene, seized CCTV footage from around the building, and took statements from the victim’s friends and residents of the house.
Law enforcement authorities continue to check all possible versions while awaiting the autopsy results, which are expected to clarify the cause of the sudden death of the 18-year-old student.
