Nicosia to Host Play "All for This Homeland"
Nicosia will host a theatrical production titled "All for This Homeland." The premiere is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center at Eastern Mediterranean University.
The play is produced by the Nicosia Yunus Emre Institute and the Damla Association, marking the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation. It is presented under the patronage of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia, in collaboration with the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Written by Üner Ulutug and directed by İlker Susuzlu, the play features actors from an amateur theater group.
The production portrays the suffering of Turkish Cypriots who were captured by the enemy, imprisoned, and subjected to various forms of torture. It also depicts their attempts to escape and the story of a father who sacrificed his son for his homeland.
