Disinfection points for animal transport established in the Famagusta district

In Famagusta, special treatment points have been set up along routes used for transporting animals. Disinfection stations have been installed in the Ağıllar area and on the Tuzla — St. Barnabas Monastery road. Vehicles carrying animals pass through these points, where they are disinfected under controlled conditions.
Transport of animals is permitted from areas not under quarantine, but all carriers and enterprises must follow a mandatory rule: disinfection must be completed at designated points before each transport.
It is also reported that:
- disinfection must be done separately before each transport;
- during transport, the driver must carry a valid disinfection certificate;
- if there is no certificate, the information will be passed to the police;
- animals delivered without documentation will not be accepted at the municipal slaughterhouse Gazimağusa Belediyesi Mezbahası.
