Planned power outages expected in several TRNC districts
The Turkish Cypriot Electricity Authority KIB-TEK has announced a planned power outage in several districts on Monday. The restrictions are related to the implementation of a project to supply electricity to land plots and infrastructure modernization.
According to the department's statement, the outage will last for two hours — from 09:00 to 11:00. The restrictions will affect the Balıkesir district, part of the Ercan Airport territory, as well as agricultural plots and surrounding areas in the Demirhan district.
KIB-TEK has urged residents and businesses to prepare for the temporary inconvenience in advance and to observe safety measures when using electrical appliances after power is restored. The energy company noted that the work aims to improve the stability of electricity supply and infrastructure development in the specified areas.
It is expected that after the completion of technical work, power supply will be fully restored without additional restrictions.
