In Tatlısu, a cycling track was solemnly opened
In the municipality of Tatlısu last weekend, a cycling and walking track was ceremoniously put into operation. The first person to ride a bicycle on it was the President of TRNC.
The ceremony was attended by the country's top officials: the head of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar, the head of the Assembly, Zorul Tere, and the Turkish ambassador to Nicosia, Metin Feyzioğlu.
The construction of the approximately 10-kilometer-long cycling track was organized by the municipality of Tatlısu and was completed with funding from the Office of Development and Economic Cooperation. The project is aimed at promoting tourism in the country. It is also noted that work has already begun in the region on further road construction for international cycling races.
Metin Feyzioğlu emphasized that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will develop thanks to sports, education, industry, advanced technology, and alternative tourism.
President of TRNC, Ersin Tatar, in his speech at the opening ceremony, noted that the country is becoming stronger thanks to the investments made and thanked the authorities of the Turkish Republic for supporting the project, as well as Mayor Hayri Orçan of Tatlısu and his team for its implementation.
