TRNC Compensates Livestock Breeders for 'Bluetongue' Disease Losses
The State Agricultural Insurance Fund announced the payment of compensation to farmers affected by the 'Bluetongue' viral disease in 2025.
A total of 54 small livestock producers received aid. Compensations were paid for 261 cases of the disease, totaling 2,883,000 Turkish Liras.
Payments can be collected at branches of Kooperatif Merkez Bankası.
The fund emphasized that the compensations are aimed at covering losses incurred by livestock breeders due to the spread of the viral infection among cattle and small ruminants.
