Unexploded Ordnance Discovered in Mevlevi Area
The Güzelyurt District Administration has issued a warning regarding unexploded ordnance in the vicinity of the Mevlevi firing range.
It is reported that heavy weapons training and military exercises took place in the area from February 16 to 20. Despite subsequent inspections, some shells may remain unexploded.
Authorities emphasize that such munitions pose a threat to life and property.
Residents are urged to:
- Stay away from suspicious objects;
- Do not attempt to touch or move them;
- Immediately report any findings to the Security Forces Command.
