Amid the escalation of the conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran and a sharp rise in global oil prices, diesel fuel has become significantly more expensive in Turkey.

Following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant portion of the world's oil supply passes, quotes reached levels the market has not seen for a long time. This directly impacted fuel prices.

Starting tomorrow, a liter of diesel will increase by 6.69 Turkish Liras.

The increase amounts to approximately 10.5%.

Expected prices:

  • Istanbul — about 67.09 Lira
  • Ankara — about 68.19 Lira
  • Izmir — about 68.46 Lira
  • In eastern provinces (Şırnak, Bitlis, Bingöl) — up to 70 Lira per liter

Experts do not rule out further market volatility depending on the development of the situation in the Middle East.
