A creative workshop on mail art was held at ARUCAD University in Girne

Arkın University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) organized a unique event in Girne dedicated to mail art. The workshop was led by the renowned artist and educator, Associate Professor Emin Çizinel. The event brought together students and art lovers to explore alternative ways of communication through the artistic design of letters and postcards.
During the practical session, participants learned about the history of mail art as an artistic movement that ignores traditional market mechanisms and uses the state postal service as a medium. Focus was placed on the techniques of creating original stamps, envelopes, and manipulating postmarks. Emin Çizinel emphasized that in the era of digitalization, a physical letter becomes a powerful tool for individual self-expression and maintaining human connection.
The practical part of the workshop allowed participants to create their own works, which will subsequently be sent to real recipients around the world. The university management noted that such initiatives promote an interdisciplinary approach to education and strengthen Northern Cyprus's position on the international cultural map. The event concluded with a presentation of the completed works, demonstrating a variety of styles — from collage to graphic minimalism.
