The meeting on women's issues of the Turkish States Assembly will move from Antalya to the TRNC
In the coming months, a meeting of the Specialized Commission on Women's Issues of the Turkic World Assembly, which was previously held in Antalya, will take place in Northern Cyprus. This decision was made during a session of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
During the session in Ankara, the Deputy Chair of the Committee on Monitoring Gender Discrimination in Laws of the Assembly of the Republic, Eroglu Kanaltay, met with the Chair of the Commission on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Cigdem Erdogan, and the Chair of the Commission on Family, Women, and Children's Affairs of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, Hikran Guseynova.
Cigdem Erdogan announced after the meeting that they are pleased to host representatives of the commissions of the two countries in the parliament. She also recalled that a very productive meeting had previously taken place in Antalya, and they would be very happy to hold the next meeting in the TRNC.
Hikran Guseynova, Chair of the Commission on Family, Women, and Children's Affairs of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, noted in her speech that the friendship between Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the TRNC sets a good example in changing world conditions, demonstrating strong solidarity even in the most difficult times.
