Heat is intensifying in Northern Cyprus: weather forecast for April 25

According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, on Thursday, April 25, the region is under the influence of low pressure and hot, humid air. The air temperature continues to rise.

Meteorologists predict cloudy weather with no precipitation. The air temperature will be 8-10 degrees higher than seasonal climatic norms. In some areas, the thermometer will rise to 37°C.

The wind is northeast, of moderate strength, with gusts up to strong. No storms are expected in the region today.

Three meteorological warnings are still in effect in the region. In Northern Cyprus, there is a high probability of forest fires and a high level of ultraviolet radiation.

One should not stay under the sun for more than 15 minutes, especially from 11:00 to 16:00, without taking necessary precautions.

Dust from North Africa, which arrived on the island, will persist until the end of today.

West Coast: Lefke – 35°C, Guzelyurt – 37°C.

Central Part: Nicosia – 37°C, Ercan – 36°C.

Eastern Coast: Famagusta – 29°C, Iskele – 32°C.

Karpas: Yenierenkoy – 33°C.
