Below are the main sections of the article about rules for sending parcels from Northern Cyprus abroad.

If you plan to send parcels from Northern Cyprus abroad, it is important to follow the rules set by the local postal service and customs. Below is a complete list of requirements, restrictions, and key points.

Parcel size and weight limits

To be accepted for shipment, a parcel must meet the size and weight restrictions:

  • Maximum dimensions: 50 × 70 cm
  • Maximum weight: 20 kg

If the parcel exceeds these limits, postal staff may refuse acceptance.

Logos on packaging — prohibited

Parcels will not be accepted if the outside of the box has:

  • advertising logos,
  • brand inscriptions,
  • branded store packaging.

What to do?

You can buy from any stationery shop:

  • wrapping paper
  • wide tape

Simply wrap the box — then it will be accepted without issues.

Payment for shipping

Postal services can be paid in two ways:

  • cash,
  • bank card.

The amount depends on weight, destination country, and type of shipping chosen.

Prohibited items

You cannot place items in a parcel that are dangerous, perishable, or restricted for international shipping.

Full list of prohibited items can be found in the special article

Such items are either confiscated or the shipment is returned.

IMPORTANT: the parcel must be opened in front of you

Before sending, the parcel is inspected on-site — this is a safety requirement.

Therefore:

  • do not seal the box beforehand;
  • keep tape handy to close it after inspection.

If you don’t have tape, you can buy it at the post office.
