What is the overstay visa penalty?
You can generally stay in Northern Cyprus without a visa for 30 days.
However, in some cases, the border officers may issue a stamp for 60 days, very rarely for 90 days, and sometimes only for 15.
Overstay fine
If you exceed the allowed period of stay in Northern Cyprus as granted at the border, you will be fined upon departure.
- As of June 2025, the fine is 2006.26 Turkish Lira per day.
You can pay it on the spot, but if you don’t have the funds to pay the fine immediately, you can settle the debt during your next entry into the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
