What is the overstay visa penalty?
As of spring 2023, the fine for each day of visa overstay is 835 lira per day. To avoid unnecessary expenses, remember the date you entered the TRNC, and keep in mind that the visa becomes valid on the day of arrival.
You can find out the exact visa expiration date at the police station in your area, in the immigration department. Addresses and contact information for police stations are also available on the official police website: http://www.polis.gov.ct.tr/iletisim.aspx.html.
The fine amount may change along with TRNC legislation, so be sure to verify this information when entering Northern Cyprus.
