Film screening: “When will it finally be like it never was again”

The European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) in Cyprus, in collaboration with the Friends of Cinema Society, present a screening of the film “When will it finally be like it never was again” (Wann wird es endlich wieder so, wie es nie war). The film is based on the novel by Joachim Meyerhoff and directed by Sonja Heiss.

This is an incredibly funny and touching story about growing up in unusual circumstances. Joachim, the youngest son of the director of one of Germany's largest psychiatric hospitals, spends his childhood on the clinic grounds, where the family home is located. For him, the patients become almost like family. The film is an ode to life in all its absurdity and fleetingness.
