British Tourist Found Dead in Hotel Pool in Paphos
A British tourist has died while vacationing in Paphos. The body of the 60-year-old man was discovered in the swimming pool of a resort hotel.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Sunday. The man was found unconscious in the pool by fellow guests, who pulled him out of the water.
He was rushed to Paphos General Hospital by ambulance, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
A post-mortem examination was carried out by state forensic pathologist Dr. Nicholas Charalambous at the Nicosia morgue. However, the exact cause of death could not be determined.
Authorities say they are awaiting the results of further lab tests to clarify the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
