Cyprus Police Seize Over 200 kg of Drugs in Nicosia
Cyprus Police conducted a large-scale raid in Nicosia, seizing over 200 kilograms of drugs, along with weapons and explosive devices. Two men, aged 34 and 26, were detained.
According to Cyprus media, the following were found in the house:
- about 160 kg of cannabis
- 60 kg of cocaine
- 11,640 fireworks
- three pistols
- two improvised explosive devices
- more than 30 rounds of ammunition
- €12,765 in cash
The estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximately 7 million euros.
Christos Andreou, head of the anti-narcotics unit in Strovolos, reported that the total volume of seized substances exceeds 200 kilograms. As of 16:30 on Thursday, 150 kg of cannabis and 50 kg of cocaine were officially counted, with the inventory still ongoing.
