Accident on Limassol–Nicosia highway during heavy rain
A road accident occurred on Sunday afternoon on the Limassol–Nicosia highway in the Kornos area.
According to the police, the driver lost control of the vehicle, after which the car first struck the central reservation and then came to a stop in the emergency lane.
As a result of the collision, debris from the car was scattered across the road. An ambulance arrived at the scene and transported the driver to the hospital.
It is noted that at the time of the accident, heavy rain was falling in the Kornos and Kofinou areas, causing water accumulation on the road and reduced visibility.
