Cyprus condemns attacks on UAE and calls for regional de-escalation

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, has issued a strong condemnation of the missile and drone attacks on the United Arab Emirates, emphasizing the urgent need to reduce regional tensions.

In his statement, the head of state expressed full solidarity with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the people of the country, noting that Cyprus stands by its partners in the face of security threats.

The President also highlighted the importance of upholding international law and promoting peaceful solutions. According to him, ensuring stability in the Middle East is directly linked to European security.

Christodoulides called for strengthened regional cooperation and coordination of efforts to prevent further escalation, stressing that only collective action can contribute to long-term stability.
