On December 12th, thunderstorms with hail are expected in Cyprus

According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, on Tuesday, December 12, the region will be affected by weak low pressure. From tomorrow onwards, weak high pressure is expected.

Today, cloudy weather is expected with clearings, and local showers and thunderstorms are possible, initially in the west and north, and later in other areas of the island. Hail is possible during thunderstorms. The wind will be southwest or northwest, ranging from weak to moderate.

According to the meteorological forecast, the daytime temperature today will be up to 18°C in inland areas, around 20°C on the coast, and up to 10°C in mountainous areas.

By evening and night, locally increased cloudiness will be observed with intervals that may lead to rain or even a storm, mainly on the coasts.

The air temperature will drop to around 9°C in inland areas, around 13°C on the southern and eastern coasts, around 12°C on the western and northern coasts, and down to 6°C in mountainous areas.

On Wednesday, the weather will be initially overcast, but gradually the sun will appear. Over the next three days, the temperature will gradually rise, fluctuating above the average climatic values.
