Cyprus will install a thousand charging stations for electric vehicles
The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Cyprus has approved the installation of 1000 charging stations for electric vehicles. The Ministry of Transport has been assigned responsibility for implementing the project, aimed at encouraging wider adoption of electric vehicles.
The project is part of Cyprus's Recovery and Sustainability Plan, with a primary focus on a swift transition to a "green" economy.
It is expected that the introduction of electric transport and the implementation of the project will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants.
The project budget is 2.5 million euros. It aligns with the ministry's commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote the use of sustainable technologies.
