Man Arrested in Cyprus with 550 Grams of Cocaine
In Nicosia, police arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of drug importation and distribution.
The operation was carried out by the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (ΥΚΑΝ). The suspect was stopped for inspection shortly after picking up a package from a courier company.
Upon examining the shipment, police officers found approximately 550 grams of cocaine hidden inside dietary supplement packaging.
Following the discovery of the drugs, the man was detained on the spot. Later, a court issued an arrest warrant, and he was remanded in custody for investigation into the illegal importation and possession of drugs with intent to supply.
The investigation is ongoing.
