Nikos Christodoulides pays first official visit to Moldova

President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides is departing today for his first official visit to Moldova. This evening in Chisinau, he will hold talks with the country's President Maia Sandu at the Presidential Palace and will also attend an official dinner.
According to a press office statement, the discussions will focus on bilateral relations, Moldova's EU accession process, regional developments, and the Cyprus issue. Following the talks, the leaders will make statements to the media, highlighting the political significance of the visit.
As part of the visit program, the presidents will also participate in events dedicated to Europe Day, including a concert in Chisinau's central square. Brief welcome speeches by both leaders on European cooperation and partnership are expected before the concert begins.
Christodoulides is accompanied by the Deputy Minister for European Affairs Marilena Raouna, representatives of the presidential administration, and the press office. After concluding the visit, the head of state will return to Cyprus late on Saturday evening.
