The "Tripos" plan, introduced by the Cyprus Civil Defence nearly a decade ago to assist people with disabilities during emergencies, has never been implemented.

The initiative was announced in 2016 and envisioned the creation of a special registry of people with disabilities and other serious health issues. It was intended that such a database would allow services to locate these individuals more quickly and provide necessary assistance during natural disasters or other emergencies.

However, nearly ten years later, the fate of this registry remains unknown. This was stated by Dimitris Lambrianides, chairman of the Cyprus Paraplegic Organization.

According to him, the project has remained on paper despite its importance for protecting the most vulnerable groups of the population.
